What’s looking good at the nursery right now? So many things. Helianthemums for starters. They’re noteworthy for the masses of colorful, 1-inch, saucer-shaped flowers that appear in early summer and last well into autumn. As sun roses have become more popular, the range of available colors has expanded. There are now soft yellows, a variety of pinks, oranges, reds and apricots. We’ve got at least four varieties planted here. They’re both extremely drought tolerant and evergreen. Do you have a spot that just bakes in the sun? This groundcover will do wonderfully. It’s fast spreading without being invasive. What more could you ask for?
