Recent Projects

For this project the client wanted a gold fish pond and improvements to their garden. They had attended one of our “Pond Building 101″ classes but decided to go ahead and have Falling Water Designs, our landscaping division, do the work.

Falling Water Designs installed a 20’ x 16’ pond and a 20′ long stream and waterfall. For the pond we had to create elevation for the waterfall and stream so that meant building a hill! We also brought in garden soil, plants, and mulch for around the pond. The customer also had us soften the grade and install soil, plants, and mulch along an embankment about 100’ long and 10’ wide.

For our second most recent project the client wants to have several projects done throughout the garden. We started with the most pressing which are two new decks. A smaller deck was installed at the corner of the house where new French doors will be installed to give them access to the deck.deck04

The second deck was a bit larger and installed around the outside of a new office/conference room that was made from a converted storage container. The decking is a renewable, quick growing hardwood from managed forests. The hardwood was installed using hidden fasteners. The deck includes a radius set of stairs, a cable railing, and custom lattice that echoes the circular windows of the container. We also installed LED lights on the steps of both decks.

Would you like a deck in your own garden? Falling Water Designs would be happy to quote your deck project for you and decks can be installed throughout the fall and winter months.
