For our project in Redmond, WA we installed  a lovely water feature of stacked stone with water bubbling over the top. After the water feature was installed we return and installed several “dry creek beds” which not only is gorgeous but functional for drainage throughout the garden.

randym02There was also an old planter in the middle of the patio that we converted into an awesome large gas fire pit with a 30” fire ring and decorative glass “fire-rock”.

With this project in Woodinville, WA we continued from our last project. We installed a gorgeous Koi pond with a 40’ long stream rolling through the garden and into the pond.  We also installed a small destination area with a stone wall.  After this water feature was installed we returned to install landscaping all around the new area and to put in a flagstone patio at the destination.

Sammamish, WA Project

This project brings us to Sammamish, WA! The original project started out with wanting to use an existing giant boulder in a new water feature. Most of the time, however, using an existing boulder isn’t feasible and in this instant would be better to create a whole new feature. During our conversations we also realized the client wanted their garden designed for the entire property.

Below is the garden design for their property that includes a new irrigation system, addresses several privacy issues, includes a new water feature, destination patio, revised bed lines, and new plants.  We began installation of this design this week and will feature the finished installation in a future newsletter.schindler-garden-design-plants-color
