Description

Small Yellow Lady’s Slipper typically has 1 or 2 light to dark brilliant yellow slipper flowers. Sepals and petals vary from light greenish-yellow with pronounced maroon streaks to dark maroon in color. This variety of parviflorum is distinguished mainly from var. pubescens by its smaller flowers and slightly later blooming period. The flowers can often have a noticeable rose like fragrance. When mature and established this variety often produces 2 flowers per stem. As well, this variety occupies a much larger geographic distribution than var. pubescens.
