Description
Umbrella plants were commonly grown as foliage plants in grandmother’s time so this might be a blast from your past! Today they are commonly grown in the shallow water or wet soils near water gardens. The whorls of spiked foliage with their upright habit give a lively and distinctive shape wherever they are used. They are great for the shade garden, but thrive in full sun as well. They can be planted with up to 6 inches of water over the soil.
