Description
When H. ‘Northern Halo’ (a cream-edged H. sieboldiana) was first tissue-cultured, many different mutations occurred. Growers such as Ohio’s Van Wade collected them all and then selected the best to name and propagate. That resulting plant was named H. ‘American Halo’. This stunning selection forms a 22″ tall x 6′ wide clump of corrugated blue-green leaves surrounded by a wide, creamy border. The slow-growing clump is adorned with 20″ spikes, topped with pure white flowers in late spring…a great specimen.
