Dogwood ‘Midwinter Fire’, Winter Flame

Category:

Description

The Cornus saguinea looks exactly like it’s common name… a ‘Midwinter Fire’. Gold branches in the center that radiate a burning red color towards the tips. The leaves are bright green which turn gold and orange in fall. Great for borders and beds, especially to add winter interest. They look best planted in groups in front of a dark background, such as an evergreen hedge. Also great for wildlife gardening if grown for the flowers/fruit rather than winter stem interest. The stems are also great for adding to flower arrangements.
