Tricyrtis hirta ‘Sinonome’

Japanese Toad Lily, Arctic Orchid

Description

The 3′ tall upright stems of this Tricyrtis hirta x Tricyrtis formosana hybrid are clothed with leaves from bottom to top. In late summer, the top of the stems are home to nice clusters of 1″ purple and white speckled flowers. Slightly moist soils are preferred, but Tricyrtis ‘Sinonome’ is quite drought-tolerant once established. A great addition to the woodland garden.
