Description
Cattails are common in most parts of the world, growing at the sides of ponds, streams, and other constantly wet areas. Plants form an upright clump of thick, grassy looking leaves. Greenish flower spikes develop into cigar-shaped brown seed heads that are popular for dried arrangements. This selection has green and creamy white striped leaves, spreading to form a large patch. Adapts well to growing in large pots or tubs, submerged in a pond or water feature. May also be grown in a constantly moist border. Trim to the ground in very early spring. Roots spread vigorously.
