Description
Asarum is a low-maintenance plant great for shady borders or a woodland site. Will remain semi-evergreen in milder winters. Wild Ginger will spread quickly by underground rhizomes to form a thick mat. Ideal for smothering out any weeds. May overwinter in zone 5 with protection. Inconspicuous flowers are bell shaped and difficult to see without closely inspecting under the foliage.
